All island schools have embraced the new Bailiwick curriculum. The learning opportunities this new curriculum embraces are exciting, refreshing and highly fit for a 21st century education.
There are 8 areas of learning to specify learning skills from ages 5 to 14. These areas of learning encompass a range of subjects. For instance, ‘Understanding the arts’ includes visual arts, music, dance and drama. Underpinning these areas of learning are the 3 core skills of communication, numeracy and digital competency.
Other learning attributes are also specified, such as learning how to learn skills; e.g. resilience, reflection and creativity. We are looking forward to developing our curriculum and believe that it will enhance and invigorate the learning opportunities we give to our children.

See our Teaching and Learning Policy for a more detailed explanation of our curriculum areas.
